There is a long story on how this book about the detoxification program Clean came into my hands…

I’ve been working as an Accountant in one small company on a short-term contract. They’ve decided to start an internal newsletter for the employees and had a contest on the best name idea for the newsletter.

I’ve submitted a few, and one of them got selected as a winner – “Food for thoughts”. This was a food company, so I thought this name would fit.

Great minds think alike, so the other two people from the company picked the same title, and we all got gift cards to the bookstore, Indigo.

I’ve ordered two books online, one of them was the Clean detox program. My friend recommended me a book with a similar cover, and I was so sure that was the same book. But I am glad I received it by such a coincidence of different circumstances.

Who Is the Author of Detoxification Program

Dr. Alejandro Junger is a cardiology doctor, originally from Uruguay, who studied in New York.

Busy life in the Big Apple had some consequences for his personal health. He gained some weight, had a lack of energy and sleep, issues with the digestive system, chest pain, depression and more.

Trying to figure out what was wrong with his health, Dr. Alejandro visited different physicians and passed some tests, but from the medical point of view, his health was fine.

To find the reason for his health problems, he dived into studying numerous books at the library. When the opportunity appeared, Dr. Alejandro accepted a volunteering job in India for one year.

Here, he worked with other specialists, like Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine doctors, chiropractors, healers, and others on different scenarios. Together, they’ve examined lifestyle, eating habits, and other factors that could affect patients’ health.

They’ve looked at the health issue from a different point of view, took the time to analyze and discuss. It was a valuable experience for Dr. Alejandro, including learning yoga.

Once back home, he’s got introduced to the juicing program, thanks to his friend. When he experienced the results himself, that was the turning point for the change.

Dr. Alejandro wanted other people to get healthier using the natural ability of our body to heal itself.

The combination of his professional experience, priceless volunteering and also personal experience in health improvement helped him to design the detoxification program for other people.

What This Book Is About

In his book, the author describes in detail his path to finding the solution to his health issues and problems of his patients. Some of them are quite common nowadays – insomnia, lack of energy, extra weight, allergy, tiredness, depression.

This book is your theory and practice guidelines in the detoxification of your body. It is very educational about the toxins in our body, work of the gut, intestinal flora and digestive system, hormones, organic vs non-organic food.

Dr. Alejandro explains in details and provides real-life examples of the health conditions and results of treatment with his Clean detox program in an easy to understand language.

I am not in the medical field, so it was engaging and educational for me to read this book.

At the end of the book, as a bonus for all your reading and educating yourself, you get an amazing detox program you can start using right away.

From the preparation to the program and setting your mind to it, to the way of eating after the cleansing, including some recipes – you find all of that in the book.

Another great thing about this book and program is that you can figure out what products cause allergy to your body.

In his Clean program, Dr. Alejandro removes all the allergens from your diet for 3 weeks. Once your body got detoxed, you can introduce slowly, one by one, various products and see how they affect your body, finding the allergens you can’t tolerate.

Why I Love This Book

There are types of books that you just can’t stop reading, absorbing and swallowing page by page… Well, this is THAT type of book.

I couldn’t stop reading it, glued to the stories of successful treatment and results of the Clean program. Dr. Alejandro is an amazing storyteller. He provides examples from his medical practice, shares his own struggle.

The knowledge about our own body and system is captivating and priceless.

Aside from that, I love that the author offers a complex approach to the detox. He suggests doing meditation to clear your mind, add massage, sauna, skin exfoliation and other remedies to help your body remove toxins.

He talks about sleep and how it affects our detox abilities and weight loss.
I’ve learned about and experienced colon hydrotherapy thanks to this book. This is something everyone needs to consider for their health benefits.

When I was doing the detoxification program, people would notice changes even during the first weeks of the preparation.

My weight would go down every single day, my skin would start to glow, wrinkles smooth, and I had more energy. Yes, it was not easy, especially closer to the end of the program, but the result was worth it.

I also like the flexibility that the detox program offers. You can buy a Clean shake for detox from the Clean program website, or you can prepare your own smoothies and also see great results.

Most amazing is the long-term impact you get for yourself and your family. Now, years after reading the Clean book and doing my first detox, I regularly do smoothies for the whole family in the morning.

When you calm down yourself and relax, you can hear answers on your questions or solutions to your problems, popping in your head.

Our body has amazing abilities to heal itself, we just need to educate ourselves and to be respectful to the amazing sheath we are in right now.

This small but powerful book by Dr. Alejandro is the right tool to start your transformation.
